What a Difference a Year Makes

Posted in Uncategorized by K2Creative on March 8, 2012

Last year, still life and lifestyle photographer Ashton Worthington took a leap…THE leap.  He moved his entire studio from noisy, dusty, Midtown Manhattan to the uber-cool streets of Brooklyn.  Some called him crazy, some applauded the idea.  We thought it was a great move – except for one thing – he moved into a raw space.  Big.  Blank.  Great light –  but painted purple floors.  We had our doubts, especially because Ashton was on-location constantly, shooting for clients like HP, Fidelity, and Covidien.  But Ashton and his crew tore the place up – with little to no outside help.

And now, a year later, clients are raving about the new space, just round the corner from Find furniture shop (hello, props!!) in Gowanus.  It’s 100% Ashton – quirky, smart, well-thought-out, and completely Brooklyn.  There’s definitely a more personal vibe at each shoot – from the space to the catering.  Now that construction is done, Ashton is working on making his studio a bigger part of the surrounding neighborhood.  And he’ll do it, without a doubt.  Check out below the building process below. We don’t want to scare you with the “before,” so we’ll start with the “after.”
