It is no secret that we love dogs at k2 creative, in fact I’ve rescued one myself. We love this new commercial that Lou Bopp directed and shot featuring Bully the bulldog. Bully was clearly the star of the whole shoot and only “worked” on his own time being a diva and all. A bulldog in goggles will bring a smile to your face, check out the spot below.

Ashton Worthington shoots Gillette Avengers campaign

Tony Stark is pretty kick-ass.  Sure, he’s a genius.  A billionaire.  A playboy.  But when it comes to photography, he has nothing on Ashton Worthington.

Gillette and Marvel teamed up to create the most awesome, superhero-themed razors in anticipation of the new Avengers movie – Avengers, Age of Ultron, out May 1.  And Ashton was chosen to shoot the still life portion of their campaign.  Check out The Incredible Hulk (and Hulk Smash), Thor, Captain America and of course, Iron Man, below.

Congrats to the entire team – Art Directors, retoucher, model makers, and of course, the AWP crew.  Y’all are proof that hard work, creative genius, technical skill and LOTS of personality can result in one hell of a shoot.

When photographer Ashton Worthington began shooting the rebrand of Gillette, we were excited. Only recently have we seen some of the final ads, with branding.  When you put them all together, one thing is clear – the work is impressive.  It’s been the perfect balance of an innovative photographer with killer lighting and technical skills collaborating with a visionary Creative Director and an inventive prop stylist. IMG_68-1A party ain’t a party…’til you see the photo booth pictures.

Let’s be honest – it’s damn cold out there.  So whats better then a Summer themed party to thank a client for all the great work we’ve done together?  A summer themed party with a photo booth!

Thanks to the entire Gillette team for showing up to a fantastic gathering, hosted by photographer Ashton Worthington.  From Shuffle Board to projected Elvis movies, “shaved” ice boozie drinks to corn hole, this party had it all.  It was a great time.

Check out some of the epic photo booth shots below.  Is that SHAVING CREAM they’re spraying in their mouths?

Now let’s see if we can make this a yearly thing.  And expand.

Gulity Pleasures: I’m a child of the 80’s

Happy new year to all!!  We’re back to the grind, already estimating and producing for the new year. Still-life is HOT right now – and we aren’t complaining!  I thought I’d take a little break from the first day back to post about an artist I’m obsessed with right now – Fabian Ciraolo, a young illustrator based in Chile.   I’m a new fan of his work, but a big one.

Being a child of the 80’s, I can appreciate humor, surreal and satirical images of some iconic characters of my childhood.  I love Ciraolo’s “take” on society and generational changes, as well as pop culture.

Below are a few that I just can’t get over – and there is so much more (not all dealing with 80’s cartoons) on Ciraolo’s site (Like an image of Frida Kahlo wearing a Daft Punk tee-shirt).  But as you can tell below, I was a HUGE fan (and marketing victim) of the childhood madness that was He-Man.  🙂

Just a little something with a pop of color to brighten our first day back at work – enjoy!
